Jacqueline Wilson has now written over 100 books! She is one of the nation’s favourite authors, and her books are loved and cherished by young readers not only in the UK but all over the world.
Here are some more interesting facts:
- She has sold millions of books and in the UK alone. The total now stands at over 40 million!
- She first started writing when she was nine years old, and her 111th book comes out this year!
- In June 2002 Jacqueline was given an OBE for services to literacy in schools, and she was the Children’s Laureate from 2005-2007.
- She also became a Dame in December 2007.
