Debutantes

It’s 1923 and London is a whirl of jazz, dancing and parties. Far away in the country, four sisters – Violet, Daisy, Poppy and Rose – dream of joining the fun. But stuck in a crumbling country house, with no money or fashionable dresses, the excitement seems a lifetime away. All the girls have big ambitions for escaping their humdrum lives. Rose wants to be a novelist, Poppy a jazz musician, and Daisy a famous film director. Violet, however, has only one ambition: to catch the eye of Prince George as the perfect debutante… A dazzling tale of high society, sisterhood and ambition, set during the dizzy and hedonistic days of the Jazz Age.
