The Unforgotten Coat
Chingis and his brother really want to fit in at their new school in Liverpool. They’re Mongolian refugees, and being accepted is their no. 1 priority (even if this means being a little vague with the truth). When Julie makes friends with them, she soon realises that they have a secret they’re not sharing. And then they disappear… Years later, a grown-up Julie looks back on that summer friendship, browsing through old Polaroid snaps. Can she work out what was fantasy, and what was not?
